Isse Strasse Markt

located in Isse Strasse, Hamburg Germany

A long time ago, the city of Hamburg constructed a series of canals to navigate trade boats through the city. Now, they serve a more aesthetic purpose for Hamburg-ians to gather and shop.
Underneath the S-Line (Subway) bridge which continues along the Isse Strasse there is one of the longest farmers markets in the area. Although not strictly a farmer’s market (There was one gentleman who sells second-hand paperbacks - and was quite proud of it, if you don’t mind), the majority of vendors sell all kinds of fancy cheeses (Goat and traditional), meats, flowers, fruits, and vegetables. It is recommended that you stop at one of the few coffee truck-bars along the street to prop your feet up - this is a very extensive market that goes ALL the way along the street (At least a mile long).
